On December 5th, the first batch of domestically produced super duplex stainless steel seamless coiled tubings exceeding 4000 meters in length was officially delivered and shipped from Zhejiang Baofeng Special Materials Co., Ltd., marking a major technological breakthrough for my country in the field of ultra-long, high-end special pipes and successfully breaking the foreign monopoly.
The ultra-long coiled tubings produced this time have a single length of 4050 meters, an outer diameter of 9.53 mm, a wall thickness of 1.65 mm, and are covered with an armored TPV protective layer. The product can withstand a working pressure of 15000 PSI at a high temperature of 300℃ for extended periods, achieving internationally advanced performance levels. These coiled tubings are mainly used in oil extraction, deep-sea oil and gas development, and other fields. Their ultra-long single-piece design significantly reduces the number of pipe joints, effectively lowering installation costs and leakage risks, while improving the overall system sealing and maintenance efficiency.
The continuous production of ultra-long coiled pipes demands extremely high process stability. Baofeng Special Materials, through independent research and development and equipment upgrades, has overcome technical challenges such as pipe deformation, contamination, and precision degradation during production, forming a unique end-to-end process system. The company has upgraded key equipment such as bright annealing and eddy current testing, and by adjusting the production process, has achieved perfect integration of the mother pipe with subsequent cold rolling, cold drawing, and tempering processes, ensuring uniform and stable product performance.
